英文摘要(原文)

THE PHOTONIC THERMAL SHIELD by Dr. M.K.A. El-Rakhawi (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.23511418) details an engineering framework for Passive Radiative Cooling (PRC) materials, enabling zero-energy, sub-ambient thermal management. It exploits the atmospheric transparency window (8–13 μm) to radiate heat directly into space. This requires dual optical properties: >95% solar reflectance via hierarchical bimodal particle distributions (100–1000 nm) for efficient Mie scattering, and >90% mid-infrared emittance via phonon-polariton resonance in polymers like PVDF. Net cooling power is modeled as P_cool = P_rad - P_atm - (1 - ρ_solar)I_solar - P_cond+conv. The framework transitions PRC from lab-scale lithography to scalable, solution-processed polymer nanocomposites using roll-to-roll manufacturing. Applications include urban heat island mitigation, photovoltaic rear-side cooling (requiring high thermal conductivity to the cell and high MIR emissivity to the sky), and radiative textiles. The IP framework excludes abstract natural laws (per Alice/Myriad), strictly protecting specific engineered nanophotonic architectures and scalable manufacturing protocols.
